First, we apply a handheld laser against the skin to covering the targeted vein. This handpiece delivers light that penetrates through the skin and into the blood inside the vein. Skin around the vein will be unaffected. As the blood absorbs the energy from the laser, the vein will begin to heat, causing the vessel’s lining to constrict and fade away from the surface of the skin and out of view.
