What to Expect?
Consultation
At Lumina Vein & Aesthetic Institute, all our treatment plans start with an initial consultation. During this conversation your Lumina Vein & Aesthetic Institute provider gets to know your medical history and your goals for this treatment.
Treatment
You will be given protective eyewear prior to starting your treatment. Your provider will use a hand piece to deliver the laser energy directly to the area of your skin being treated. Depending on the size of the area, your session will as a few minutes up to a half hour.
Next Steps
A "sunburn" sensation and some slight swelling are normal after ClearV and usually subside within 24 to 48 hours. Sometimes your veins will darken and be more noticeable at first, but they will start to fade within 1 week. You should see full results within 4 to 6 weeks. Sometimes your provider will recommend wearing a compression garment to promote healing.

What after care will I need?
For most patients, ClearV does not require any special aftercare. However, your provider may give you special instructions depending on your needs and response to the treatment. This may include topical skin care products, avoiding vigorous exercise for a few days, or wearing a compression garment.
How many treatments do I need?
It depends on the number of veins being treated. Though you will likely see results after your first treatment, some patients require a series of 1 to 3 treatments for complete results. These treatments are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Does ClearV hurt?
ClearV is not considered a painful treatment. You may experience some warmth and sensitivity in the area immediately following your treatment. The device has an integrated cooling system that increases patient comfort.
